Story and photos by Mekenzie K.
On Friday, February 3, we hosted our annual MHDI Conference. This year the conference was held on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus. Shout out to our keynote speakers Dr. Stephen Thomas and Elisabeth Hurst who spoke on topics including health disparities, policy and how to be a citizen advocate. There were also a variety of break-out session speakers that bolstered the conversations going on throughout the
conference. The undergraduates would like to thank you all for your help in making this year’s conference the absolute best.
The brains behind the conference was our own Kim GC, and she deserves a big round of applause for all of the time and passion she put into it.
MHDI Undergraduates we were given the opportunity to work at the conference to help it flow smoothly, take notes and, of course, really, really ridiculously good looking photos.
